Product evaluation process

(Simplified)

The Saferbuy evaluation process guarantees the transparency and safety of the products tested, covering aspects relating to delivery, packaging, user experience, safety and after-sales service. Each product goes through several rigorous evaluation stages to ensure that all consumer expectations are met. We would also like to point out that we do not receive any commission on the sales of the brands we evaluate, thus guaranteeing our impartiality in the evaluation process.

1. Delivery

  • Deadlines: Verification that announced deadlines are met. A delay of one day reduces the score, while a delay of more than a week results in a zero score.
  • Package condition: Evaluation of packaging integrity on arrival. An intact package gets the maximum score.
  • Order tracking: Analysis of tracking quality (tracking number provided, functionality of tracking application).
  • Delivery service: Evaluation of transport quality and customer communication.

2. First impression: Packaging and contents

  • Protection: Testing the packaging's resistance to impact, pressure and transport conditions.
  • Contents: Checking that all expected items (accessories, documentation) are present.
  • Sustainability: Use of recyclable materials and sustainable design taken into account.

3. Getting started

  • Aesthetics and presentation: The evaluation focuses on the overall appearance of the product, its finish, and its consistency with the images on the website.
  • Ease of use: Analysis of the product's ergonomics and intuitiveness when first used.
  • Assembly and disassembly: Assessment of ease of assembly (if applicable) and clarity of instructions.

4. Security

  • Compliance: Verification of regulatory markings (CE, RoHS, etc.).
  • Safety in use: Analysis of risks during assembly or use of the product, taking into account ergonomics and user protection.

5. Evaluation of marketing promises

  • Marketing arguments: the emphasis is on verifying the benefits put forward by brands to distinguish themselves from the competition. Promises such as the anti-aging effectiveness of a cream or the energy savings of an appliance must be verified.
  • Importance of reliability: It's essential that the promises made by the brand are well-founded, otherwise it can damage consumer confidence and the company's reputation.
  • Methodology: Each product is evaluated according to specific marketing promises.
  • Practical tests: Promises are tested and verified directly by the institute's experts.

6. Evaluation of customer reviews

  • Average rating: The evaluation is based on the average rating given by customers on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. This average is calculated from a minimum of 30 reviews to ensure that the feedback is representative.
  • Number of reviews: A large number of reviews reinforces the credibility and relevance of evaluations.

7. After-sales service

  • Response time: Analysis of the speed of customer service responses.
  • Service quality: Assessment of agents' professionalism and efficiency in solving problems.
  • Commitments kept: Verification of warranty compliance, exchanges and refunds.

8. Value for money

  • Overall assessment: Combining perceived product quality, price and consumer feedback to establish a final score.

Our aim is clear: to enlighten consumers in a market where the multitude of brands and websites can sometimes create confusion. We are consumers' compass, guiding them towards informed choices by providing transparent, reliable information. Together, we can improve our system to better serve consumer needs and accompany them in this ever-changing world. We look forward to hearing your ideas, as we strive to improve our services.
